About Me

I am an Occupational Therapy student at Sacred Heart University. I received my Bachelor's Degree in Public Health from Sacred Heart in 2024. I chose to study the profession of occupational therapy because I learned at a young age how important ones independence is. I have seen first hand how life-altering events can alter ones motivation and independence. Being able to help individuals regain their sense of self through activities and occupations that are meaningful to them aligns with my desire to help others. My accomplishments thus far stem from my hard work in academics which has earned me a capstone award.

Mission & Vision

As a dedicated occupational therapy student, I commit to empowering individuals across

the lifespan to engage in meaningful daily activities with dignity and purpose. Throughout my

past and present fieldwork experiences, I aim to bring a client-centered approach focused on

empathy, creativity, and cultural humility, so that I can honor and respect each person’s unique

identity, values, and lived experiences. By blending compassion with evidence-based practice

and collaborative communication, I hope to support clients in building confidence, the

rehabilitation of affected areas, and adapting environments, routines, and tasks so they can have

a safe and efficient return to their meaningful activities and ultimately navigate life more

independently with greater satisfaction.

In the next five years and beyond, I envision becoming a skilled therapist who serves

diverse populations, who face barriers to participation in their meaningful occupations. I hope to

become a provider that advocates for occupational justice and inclusive community access for

my clients. I strive to continually learn and evolve as a practicing OT, using reflective practice,

cultural awareness, and interdisciplinary collaboration to provide the best possible care to my

clients. Ultimately, I aim to make a positive, lasting impact by providing comfort, empathy, and

positivity, while promoting health, well-being, and independence in everyday life. I strive to be

the provider that my clients feel safe enough to be honest and vulnerable around.
